Thanks to your support and others who voted for Kristine, she’s made the top three Marine Corps spouses of the year. Now she’s up for Military Spouse of the Year and we need your support one more time. Some of you may remember Kristine, the other half of the Cannonball Team and is married to an active duty Marine who has been on six deployments, many of them to Iraq and Afghanistan.

Today, Kristine is in the running for 2013 Military Spouse of the Year. She writes, “Winners will be determined by popular vote, so every vote counts. Thanks for allowing me to represent the Marine Corps and all of my strong, courageous military families.

This year my goal is to make the transition process easier for our military kids. I would like to change our education system to create more consistent standards including testing, requirements, school age start dates, and more. I volunteered to the service when I married my husband, but our kids were drafted. This lifestyle should be as easy as possible for our little ones. We’ve come a long way by implementing the school liaison officers and bringing about awareness of this issue, but it still needs more work.
