What is the Cannonball Phoenix Spree?

Part Cruise In, Part Rally, Part Competition, All Fun!

What can I expect from this event?

The Cannonball is a two day traveling event; a “rolling party with cars” so to speak. It’s a very hands-on experience. You and your vehicle will be part of a diverse cast of over 300 people. Our event is based off the Burt Reynolds Cannonball Run movies, so you and your team are encouraged to play any role you’d like.  Just envision yourself in the Cannonball Run movie and have fun with it.  Expect to meet some of the most adventurous, friendly, fun and “competitive” car enthusiasts out there.

You can pretty much count on seeing the hilarious ECCO crew, Cannonball Girls, Hooters Girls, Cannonballers, media, sponsors, spectators and leaders of each participating city, but an array of themed clubs and movie cars such as “Bruce Wayne” and the Batmobile, several Knight Rider K.I.T.T. cars, Roscoe P. Coltrane’s Dukes of Hazzard Sheriff’s car, The General Lee, Arizona Ghostbusters and their ECTO, Willitmakeit Replica Cannonball ambulance, Back to the Future Delorean, Starcarz A Team Van and more.  Each Cannonball event is designed to be a multi-part competition utilizing photo, scavenger, trivia and challenges to win. Thus you have several options to choose from based on preference.

The competition is optional and you may opt to sit back, enjoy the fun, and watch the excitement around you.   This event attracts all kinds of patrons from CEOs to the guy driving the junker next door.  ALL vehicles are welcome: new, old, classic, hot rod, exotic, wacky, etc. We aim to provide the opportunity to let loose and laugh a lot while we are raising funds in support of our troops!

How long is the event?

The entire event is two days, including the Kickoff Welcome Party Friday evening before the competition officially begins.  Saturday morning rally meet, competition spree through three major cities, finish line reception and check in, and Grand Finale Awards Dinner.  Our mileage for the Saturday spree ranges from 200-225 miles which takes approximately 4-5 hours of driving time with checkpoint stops along the way.

What is included in the registration fee?

Your personal vehicle entry, Kick Off Welcome Party including dinner, live entertainment, vendors, sponsor booths, auctions, raffles, contests, cruise in, media coverage, rally start, competition spree, Grand Finale Reception with dinner, route book, rally plate, t-shirts, vehicle vinyl’s, awards, prizes, goodie bag and tons of fun.
